Bathroom decor is often an afterthought because we approach it more from a functional rather than stylish point of view. I’ve heard terms like ‘being extra’, ‘too girly’ or ‘unnecessary’ thrown around to describe homes that go the extra mile to decorate their bathrooms. I however, think it’s justified considering the amount of time we spend there. There are so many reasons we seek the bathroom: to relax and get away from people, take pretty pictures using bathroom mirrors, read a favorite publication, have discreet phone calls and to get clean. For these reasons a basic bathroom has to be clean, private, well-lit, fresh and with some storage. So if you are ready to elevate your bathroom to the next level, here are 36 ideas on how to do so and trust me, you’ll want to be called ‘extra’ when done.
